Selvage guards are useful for conveying applications where the product being conveyed is relatively small, such as machine parts.  Selvage is a strong, firm material but also retains a degree of flexibility.  This allows the strip to keep the product from falling off the conveyor while also minimizing damage to the belt from a trapped product.


In this case, Selvage guards are used on a 751RB where parts are shock-loaded and the conveyor is on an incline.
