Lights out
manufacturing. The Roach Mazak Laser FMS can operate lights out
without operator attention. Programmers
prepare "nests" of parts for the laser. One or more
orders may have parts combined (or "nested") onto one single
sheet of material. Waste is therefore minimized and several orders may
be streamlined into the manufacturing process. The Mazak operator
sets the laser for premium operation by adjusting cutting speed,
piercing point, etc. Once adjustments are complete, "turn out
the lights" and let the Mazaks cut and cut and cut. |
